Where Everybody is Somebody in the Body!

We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life . Romans 6:4 (NIV)

Home Fellowship Groups

The central goal of New Life Church is to pattern itself after the early church recorded in New Testament, and especially in the book of Acts. Home Fellowship Groups are the result of this endeavor.

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. Acts 2:46-47

The early church not only met in large groups “in the temple”, they also met in smaller more intimate groups in their homes to break bread in fellowship of the gospel. New Life Church mirrors this pattern by meeting in larger numbers at our church facilities, and in smaller groups at members homes to “break bread” in fellowship of the gospel. It is through Home Fellowship Groups we build the Christian community by "building one another up in love and redeeming the world for God's glory".

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another" Hebrews 10:24-25

Home Fellowship Groups meet a variety of individual needs, as well as the diverse needs of the body as a whole. They are the ‘other’ facet of the church that is missing from the traditional church structure. Although Home Fellowship Groups can never replace the anointed preaching of the word of God, they are very effective in connecting people together for the glory of God. Home Fellowship Groups are the answer to facilitating the ‘body’ ministry of the church Jesus Christ has called us unto. This makes Home Fellowship Groups vital to proclaiming the whole gospel to the whole world by the whole church because Home Fellowship Groups employ every member of the group to the task.
